The GRADUATE RECORD EXAMINATION (GRE) is a standardized test that analyses the verbal, mathematical, and analytical writing skills of scholars who wish to apply for their graduate studies abroad.

A whopping 500,000 students from over 160 countries appear for the GRE each year for an admission to their dream universities.

It’ll take a total of 3 hours 45 minutes to undertake the examination.

The test helps to assess the potential and academic prowess of the applicant for advanced study. The GRE score is employed by graduate schools in numerous countries to select applicants. However, GRE is not the sole criteria that determines the applicant’s admission to a university. The test is one of the factors that is taken into consideration.

The test is conducted at Parametric Testing Centers which are meticulously picked by the concerned faculty located across the country. There is a choice to either take a paper-based or computerized test. Logistically, computer-based tests are the most in use and people tend to appear for Computer-based tests.

It consists of three modules: Analytical Writing, Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning. As it tests these three, it opens the gate towards your dream university by vouching for your Academic/Mathematical/Language skills.
