French DELF and DALF certifications---

You can begin your language learning journey at any age. The certification would vary. For adults, there are two levels of examinations—

  • DELF: Diplômed’étudesen langue française (Diploma in French Language Studies) from level A1 to level B2 (beginner to independant users)
  • DALF: Diplômeapprofondien langue française (Advanced French Language Diploma) Levels C1 and C2 (autonomous and mastery levels)

DELF and DALF examinations are conducted as per the instructions of the French Ministry of Education. The diplomas certify a certain level of proficiency in the French language. The official certificates (diplomas) have a lifelong validity and are recognised worldwide.

From A1 to B2, we help the students prepare thoroughly for the DELF examinations. The general level of French is gradually converted into a deeper understanding of the language. The language is taught in a convenient and practical manner, which makes it easier to learn and practice.

Reading, writing, listening and speaking are the four competencies that are developed, making the learner ready for the real world. These are also the four competencies that are tested in the DELF and DALF examinations.


DELF exams are majorly undertaken under two categories and these are created by age. One is for adults and the other for juniors.

A candidate in the age bracket of 11 to 17 years of age can appear for the DELF junior and anyone above that can appear for the DELF.

The DELF/DALF exams are conducted for various levels. However, a candidate doesn’t need to possess the diploma of the previous level to appear for a higher level as all the DELF/DALF diplomas are independent.

To register for DELF-

Step 1: A candidate must register online during the designated registration period.

Step 2: If the candidate had registered for DELF / DALF during a previous session, it is mandatory to indicate the 12-digit candidate number that had been allotted.

Step 3: Schedule for the examination in the upcoming session. The date, place and timings are already pre-determined for the cities where the exam happens.

Step 4: Pay the registration fees and complete the registration process.
